Virtual world Games of Every Imaginable Kind

What comes to mind when someone says “Virtual worlds”? Do you imagine entering a 3D world like what happens in The Matrix and Tron movies? To be honest, it doesn’t have to be that fancy. Modern virtual world games don’t need you to have sci-fi gadgets or be plugged into a machine.

Virtual worlds simply ask you to create an avatar in a fantasy world shared with other players. This means if you’ve played any MMORPG, then you’ve already been inside a real virtual game.

Virtual world Games vary in size and scope. There are virtual games with a fantasy focus, where you play a random hero seeking to save the world from sure destruction. Then on the other end of the scale are reality simulation virtual games where you play as a human who gets a job, earns money and builds a family.

In between are virtual world games of all other kinds. There are games that are virtual versions of sports tournaments, where you play as a professional golfer or tennis player competing for the top spot. There are even virtual games where you get to own your dream pet – from dogs to horses to mythical beasts and fantastical unicorns.

Look around MMO Play to take your pick of the very best virtual worlds. Give them a try by clicking the Play Now button now. Each game on the list is free and requires no download. You’ll be shocked at how virtual worlds can entertain you like no other.

Virtual Worlds and Fun, Right Here on MMO Play

A virtual game is interactive entertainment at its finest. When you log into virtual games online, you enter a fully functioning universe with established rules, markets and communities. Think of it as moving to a fantasy country, and like the new kid in town, you will want to make some friends and build a life of your own.

Here’s some free advice: To make your mark in a virtual game, you must be willing to explore and socialize. These are the two things you must constantly do. Exploring is already something you’re trained to do in games virtual or not. It’s that yearning to get deeper into a dungeon or farther into the map. A virtual game will reward the most curious players with unlocked features and even some rewards.

Socializing, though, may take some getting used to. A virtual game will often require you to team up with other players to finish a common goal. You might be asked to group up to defeat a hard boss or work together to pool resources for a new building. Social activities often reward all participants so there is no reason for you to go at it alone.

In fact, it’s in a virtual game where you have the highest chance of meeting real-life friends. In these virtual worlds friendships form fast. You will quickly build up a list of trusted companions and guild mates who keep you company and help you out in many ways. In this sense, you’re never truly alone when playing a virtual game. Get started on a virtual game right now here at MMO Play.

How Virtual Games Offer the Ultimate Freedom

Virtual games like to give you full control over your virtual character. You will be able to tweak the facial features, body shape and size, or even skin color of your chosen avatar. If not, then at the very least, you can dress up your character in the way you like. Cover him in full body armor like a true warrior. Or dress him in peasant wear for some Thanksgiving roleplaying. It’s all up to you.

This is one of the most appealing aspects about virtual games. Your input on character design is given great importance. You get a say on how your avatar looks and moves and acts. Compare this to playing a non virtual game, where you will be asked to play a bearded plumber like Mario or a blue-skinned hedgehog named Sonic.

In a virtual game, you can also play around with your character roles. You can be a valiant protector of the realm or an anti-hero who’s in it for the riches and fame. There will be little holding you back. Virtual games are designed to give you a totally unique gaming experience. Each avatar in your virtual game will have his or her memorable journey, and designers give you the tools to do just that.

If you like making choices and having the freedom to craft a fantasy character from thin air, and then try your hand at a virtual game. There are loads of free virtual games in our catalogue section, all available for a quick playthrough.

Tips on Mastering Virtual Worlds

Is this your first time playing virtual games online? MMO Play has a few solid tips to help you get past the beginner stage.

Before anything else, make sure to read our reviews and ratings. These can help slim down your choices from our free virtual games list. Once you have a handful of titles, dive right in. The Play Now button will let you test out the game for free – no payments and downloads required.

That’s the easy part. Now you will need to put a little more effort in building your character and account. Virtual games online are designed to be played for hundreds of hours, so you will need to put in a regular time commitment if you’re serious about getting the best items and achievements.

Beginners make the mistake of dabbling between multiple characters or accounts. It’s best for you to focus on one character or account, since splitting your time also divides your progress. This focused effort will pay off in the long run.

Another tip is to make a lot of friends. In virtual worlds games, you can interact with hundreds, even thousands of online players. Consider each of them a potential friend or ally. High-level buddies, for instance, can help you level up. Meanwhile, long-time veterans will steer you to success.

Last, but not the least, read up on your chosen virtual games online. MMO Play has an ever-growing library of guides for free virtual games. Check them out for their well-researched tips and tricks.

Apps & Games content ratings on Softonic

Content ratings help you understand the type of content you might find in an app or game, so you can decide if they are suitable for you and your family.

What do the ratings actually tell me?

Content ratings describe the minimum age we feel the content is suitable for. It does not indicate that the app was specifically designed for that particular age, or if a certain level of skill is required to play the game or use the app.

Where can I find the content ratings?

You will find the content ratings on every app or game page.

Why are some apps or games unrated?

If an app or game does not have a rating, it means that it has not yet been rated, or it’s been rated and we’re working to update the page.

Rating Systems

Softonic uses the rating systems by PEGI and ESRB. The ratings you see may vary by country or region.

Virtual DJ is a virtual console for DJs. Despite the number of tools that it offers, it s easy to use, and is the perfect midpoint between a consumer and professional product for DJing.

All the best DJ tools

Virtual DJ is great for mixing music, but its also the perfect program for remixes, thanks to an integrated sampler and effects. With the paid version, you can download a ton of tracks, which is great to replenish your musical arsenal.

Virtual DJ has 5 different versions to suit the needs and capabilities of all types of users, from the absolute beginner, to the professional DJ.

It offers a lot of independent decks (depending on which release you have), pitch control, EQ, effects, tone control algorithms, beat matching, beat lock engine, and dozens of other tools.

Intuitive interface

Virtual DJ is a console within your reach. Mixing music without a physical interface can become complicated, but there are many controllers on the market that are compatible with Virtual DJ.

A few caveats. however, must be kept in mind:

– With the LE version of Virtual DJ, you can only use the controller that was bundled

– With the Home version, you can use any controller you want, but it will work only for 10 minutes per session. After this time, you will need to disconnect and reconnect it to the computer to use it again.

The Pro Full version has no controller limitations of any kind.

Choose the version suited to your needs

If you already have a little practice with mixing, Virtual DJ Home is the perfect version for you. It s free, but very well equipped, and is an ideal way to see if the program is the right one for you.

If you are experienced, it might be a good idea to start with Virtual DJ LE, which is bundled with controllers and external sound cards for PCs and Macs. The limitations, compared to other editions, make it a good choice to learn the basics.

Finally, there are three paid versions (Virtual DJ Broadcaster, Virtual DJ Pro Basic and Pro Full), which differ mainly in hardware support and control mapping. To study the exact differences between the five versions, you can consult the complete table on the Atomix site.

A console suitable for anyone

If you re a DJ novice, Virtual DJ is the console to try. It’s a perfect example of quality combined with simplicity and completeness; it’s rare to find free DJ programs with so many features.

Virtual DJ can also count on a very active community that revolves around the official forum.

If you already have experience and are looking for alternatives, there are virtual consoles for DJs with any need. Quality, features, and ease of use are indicated only for professionals (Torq for example).

If you come from the old school tradition and you re used to mixing with analogue instruments, the most suitable alternative to switch to digital consoles could be MixVibes Cross DJ, which runs particularly well.

Notes

Version 7.0+ is now free for non-commercial use.

Pros

  • Integrated sampler and effects

Virtual DJ Studio – Home

If you prefer not to use PayPal, you can buy VDJ using RegNow.

You can also download a Free Trial with no obligation. You can try VDJ for free for 14 days and determine if it meets your needs. If at any time you wish to fully unlock your VDJ, simply purchase a license key. If you decide VDJ is not for you, there is no obligation and you can uninstall the program at any time.

Certified 100% Spyware Adware Free
Compatible with Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10

If you have a license to an older version, Click Here.

Feature-Filled DJ Karaoke Software

Virtual DJ Studio is not like all of the other DJ programs out there. While other programs limit you to two players with a Cross-Fader, Virtual DJ Studio provides you with an entire studio.

Exclusive app-based control and customer song requests make Virtual DJ Studio stand out above the rest! Click here for more details about this exclusive feature.

Virtual DJ Studio gives you a mixer-board interface. Each line offers things you would expect from a typical mixer — volume fader, mute, crossfader assignment, etc. Additionally, each line contains an MP3/WAV/Karaoke player, with all of the controls you might expect — including a Pitch/Tempo control. If you have two or more sound cards/audio devices, you can route any line to your secondary device, for headphone preview or beat-matching. Alternatively, you might use this feature to simply allow more control with your external mixer.

Playlist Support
You can load up a playlist full of music, set the Auto-Crossfade button, and simply let VDJ mix your music.

Full Karaoke Support

The days of hunting down a Karaoke CD, finding the right track, and having only one or two singers queue’d up are gone! With a Laptop, you can replace not only your CD players; you can eliminate the need for cases of CDs, and take up less space than you ever imagined!

Supported Karaoke Formats

You can either play an MP3 that has a corresponding .CDG file, or you can play directly from a ZIP file. VDJ does this directly, with no need to create temporary files (like most other programs do). VDJ is the only Karaoke system that lets you seek while directly playing a ZIP or MP3 file, without ever losing sync!

No other Karaoke package delivers this many features.

Singers List

Even though VDJ looks different from other Karaoke programs, it still contains a Singer’s List feature. When enabled, you can queue up any number of songs, along with the name of the person who wishes to sing it. From there, you can drag a song into a line in VDJ, or simply double-click to launch the file in the first line. VDJ will also display a list of singers/songs in the CDG window when no karaoke file is being played (for example, if your CDG window is connected to a second monitor, television, or multiple TVs, your patrons will know who’s up next, and when their song will be up).

Easy to Use

Don’t be intimidated by the number of buttons you see in the picture. If you have a knack for audio equipment, you will quickly pick up on VDJs use. VDJ comes with a complete Help file, including a Getting Started guide that will have you mixing MP3s in no time!

Headphone Support

VDJ allows you to use an extra sound card for CUEing, or Previewing, a sound file. You can use this feature to assist with beat-mixing (fading two songs together on-beat), or for simply previewing a song before playing it live. Many DJs use their laptop’s built-in sound for previewing (since the quality of the internal sound chip is often lacking), and an external USB audio device for their main mix. This configuration allows you the flexibility you are used to with dual CD decks and an external mixer; just like a real mixer, enabling the CUE button routes that line to the headphone output (eg, to your Secondary Sound Card ).

So how much will all of this cost?

Virtual DJ Studio is available for only $59.95 for a limited time. Unlike most other software, VDJ can be used on up to two separate PCs owned by the licensee. We recognize that many DJs have a desktop system as well as a mobile rig ; our license allows you to use VDJ on both systems (up to two computers) without fear of violating the license agreement, as long as both PCs are owned by the licensee (and are not used for commercial purposes at the same time).

If you are considering purchasing Virtual DJ Studio, we strongly encourage you to try out our free trial version first, so that you can make an informed decision. We do NOT want you to purchase our product only to find that it does not suit your particular needs. By taking advantage of our free 30-day trial, you are making sure that our product is everything you expect it to be. This avoids wasting both our time and yours, as well as keeping costs low (refunds cost money!)

Try before you buy is our motto. If the trial version provides what you need, you have a full 30 days to make a purchase decision. If not, nothing is lost and no harm is done (our software is guaranteed to be free of ad-ware, spyware, and viruses).

How do I get a copy?

Gaia Online is a virtual community with a forum but most importantly it’s a free virtual world for teens. The world itself is in English but the site has communities of many other languages.

You start by registering your virtual avatar. You choose everything, face, hair, skin colour, clothes. But don’t worry, it’s very easy to do. Later, you can further customize the avatar.

You will probably want to earn some Gaia Gold so that you can make your avatar look awesome. Money can be earned by being active, like posting on the message boards, playing games or doing just about anything. You can also have a house for your friends to visit and a car to drive around. You can trade items with others or make new friends by giving some of your old stuff away.

Chatting with other players is done by typing. Unfortunately there is no chat history feature, so you need to pay close attention to what is being said around you. This can be hard especially, if you are surrounded by a lot of people. When you find someone you would like to talk to in private, you can walk to a less crowded spot together. There is also a private message feature, although exchanging personal information might not be wise since you never know who is on the other end.

Gaia Online is played on your web browser.

Habbo Hotel

Habbo Hotel is a chat world where your avatar lives in a massive hotel. Different countries have different hotels. Some countries share their hotel with nations with the same language. For example Portuguese Habbo Hotel is meant for Brazilian people, too. If you want to check in to another hotel, you need to register a new account.

Young people can’t use strong language like swearing because there’s a naughty word filter. And if the filtering fails and you manage to say a bad word, you might be warned or even banned by Habbo Moderators. They are hired guns who make sure everything is in order. You can recognize them from their name which starts with a MOD-prefix.

There’s a wide variety of rooms with different themes. For example almost every hotel has a hospital, where you can role play of being either a doctor or a patient. Habbo Hotel has also some games to play with other avatars.

You can search rooms by keywords. For example by doing a search for games might find all the game rooms. There’s also a forum, where you can share your thoughts, when you are not inside the world.

Habbo Hotel requires Flash Player installed (you probably already have it).

Free Realms

Free Realms is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) for tweens and teens. Like all the other MMORPGs, Free Realms is about improving you skills. You are also encouraged to raise pets, explore the vast lands and play all kinds of minigames.

You can chat with other players by typing or by using quick chat (pre-written text that you click with your mouse). You can also use emotes to communicate nonverbally. A word filter limits the things you can say. It is not possible to type numbers or swear words.

The more you play the more you get money and new stuff for you character. Free Realms is free to play but if you want access to additional features you need to pay for a membership. For example, only members can have rides, such as horses.

Free Realms has a versatile selection of character types (so called jobs). You can play as an adventurer, brawler, card duelist, chef, demolition derby driver, fisherman, kart driver, miner, ninja or a postman. Archer, blacksmith, medic, soccer star, warrior and a wizard can also be played, but you need to purchase a membership to continue developing those characters after the level four.

You gain levels in each job, when you play the minigame associated with it. For example, a chef prepares food, whereas a fisherman catches fish. If you want to develop your ninja skills, fight as a ninja. If you want to level up as a miner, play the mining minigame.

Battles can be fought using an archer, brawler, medic, ninja, warrior or a wizard. You either fight alone or along side of your friends. You can also fight against your friends in a duel. High level players can kill low level players with one blow. So it’s good to have a match up of two equally skilled fighters. But the unique thing about Free Realms as an MMORPG is that you don’t have to fight at all, if you don’t want to.

Free Realms has a wide variety of playgrounds where you can have fun. They are also great for practising keyboard and mouse control. But of course if you already are familiar with 3D games, you should have no trouble controlling your character’s movements.

The world of Free Realms is vast. To get from one point to another you can either run or teleport. There are a number of teleports available in each area. You can teleport to a spot on the map that has a teleport sign. Additionally you can teleport to your friend’s exact location.

The game is graphically very beautiful. But to get the best gaming experience you need a good computer. The game doesn’t require a lot of hard drive space initially. However, you may notice long loading times, when you first play some new areas or minigames. Your computer downloads the content in the background. That’s why it’s good to have a fast internet connection.

If you want to record your gaming, you can use the video capture. It can then be uploaded to YouTube using the internal upload feature.
