Caddx alarm system

Here’s list of some of my “hobby” projects.

  • Sauron – a free DNS/DHCP management system.

Caddx alarm system

Linux

Custom 4M flash image that turns your JavaStation into standalone sparc-linux computer (supports also nfs-root). Image contains Linux kernel and Debian based mini Linux system.

IRIX & Linux

  • readISO – utility to cdroms into imagefiles. Latest version now supports also non-iso9660 discs and reading of audio tracks (under Irix only). Image files created by the program are standard ISO images, and ready to be written back to blank disc with some program (like cdrecord or cdwrite).

For Linux there exists also a similar program called readxa .

IRIX (SGI)

  • CDDAread – command line utility to read audio track(s) from audio CD into digital audio file. This program was writen to make it easy to copy audio data into files. Currently it’s tested only under IRIX 5.3, 6.2, 6.3 & 6.5.

Supported formats at the moment are: AIFF, AIFF-C, NeXT/Sun, ISO/MPEG-1 audio layer I & II (Irix 6.2 or later required)

Jpeginfo – utility to generate informative listings from jpeg files, and to check jpeg files for errors. Program also supports automagic deletion of broken jpegs. Currently developed using Linux & OSX, but should compile on any decent Unix 🙂 Latest version uses GNU autoconf.
  • Jpegoptim – utility to optimize jpeg files. Provides lossless optimization (based on optimizing the Huffman tables) and “lossy” optimization based on setting maximum quality factor.

  • Caddx alarm systemjyuDESK – tiny X program that combines xlock & xbiff & bunch of other features into one small program. At the moment jyuDESK has also a front-end to the local phonebook server, temperature/wind chill display (probably not much use for folks not living in Jyvaskyla area :), button to launch xlock, and buttons to change keyboard layout. (or run any commands you wish). Monitoring of remote mailboxes using POP3/APOP protocol is supported starting from version v0.5. This program was written while I was evaluating Fltk (Fast Light Tool Kit) (GPL’d C++ user interface toolkit for X and OpenGL).

  • pdientd patch Patch for pidentd v2.8.1 to add support for libwrap. With this patch it’s possible to run in.identd with -b (standalone) or -w (with “wait” from inetd) option and still have access control like if you were running it with -i through tcp_wrappers. Another feature added by this patch is that if using encryption (-C option) you can now use /etc/hosts.deny to control who gets cleartext and who encrypted authentication info 🙂

    • du & df, unix-style utilities for OS/2 (and 16bit versions for MS-DOG).

    Fifa 17

    Ps vita system software

If you’re familiar with the slow pace, defensive focus and intricate button combos of FIFA 16, you’ll feel right at home with 17. If you’re coming from PES, then things might feel a bit complicated. In PES 2017, things happen naturally. The game cleverly knows if you’re trying to dink the ball over the top of defenders with the outside of your foot. In FIFA 17 ps vita , you have to do all this for yourself.

    GTA 5

    Ps vita system software

GTA V Ps vita fulfills the idea of a gaming sandbox, where you can entertain yourself in many different ways and also experience a superbly written story of three gangsters, if you want

    NBA 2k17 Ps vita

    Ps vita system software

NBA 2K17 ps vita addresses most of my biggest issues from last year in cutting out canned animations and going back to basics with MyCareer, and it s still as polished as ever. It s easy to take its excellence for granted, but Visual Concepts ambition and willingness to take risks keeps it from ever becoming stale. NBA 2K17 is the champion, and it s tough to see it losing that title anytime soon.

    Minecraft

    Ps vita system software

Games like Skyrim or GTA love talk about open worlds, but it seems, that so far only Minecraft Ps vita has truly embraced this principle. (…) This here is your story, that you simultaneously write and experience. All at your own pace.Minecraft is what you make of it, and that makes it pretty damn special.

Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified

    Ps vita system software

Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions.

    Ps vita system software

    Resident Evil Revelations 2

    Ps vita system software

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Ps vita follows two interwoven stories of terror across 4 episodes of intense survival horror. Episode One: Penal Colony Kidnapped by a unknown group of assailants, Claire and Moira awake to find themselves trapped on an isolated island infested with horrifying creatures beyond imagination. Now they must desperately struggle to escape the horror.Although Resident Evil Revelations 2 doesn t recapture old glory or reach new heights for the series, it contains moments of inspiration where its action-adventure gameplay and mostly compelling mystery plot marry together beautifully. Capcom’s horror doesn t frighten, but as an action-adventure it’s elevated by this occasional synergy, and the excellent bonus Raid mode.

    Ps vita system software

GTA san Andreas / Vice City Ps vita Collection

    Ps vita system software

The long wait has been worth it. If you’re a ps vita gamer who’s spent the last eighteen months envying the console crowd while they all got stuck into the latest, greatest GTA, then rest assured that you can now play the definitive version. Sure, the Xbox One and PS4 versions were amazing, delivering GTA san Andreas ps vita at higher resolutions with more detailed textures, smoother surfaces, better lighting and cool depth of field effects (see our full review below), but the ps vita version offers even more enhancements plus a couple of additional features that play to the ps vita ’s strengths. In doing so, it adds a few more metres to one of gaming’s towering achievements.GTA san Andreas and vice city is a masterpiece of a game, and the playstation vita version is the best way to experience it. Its sprawling yet meticulously detailed map is the high bar to which all other open-world games aspire, and it’s incredibly dense with excellent content. With so much to do, explore, and play with, both in single-player and multiplayer, plus great creative tools, it’s truly amazing on multiple levels.

What is converged network adapter (CNA)? Definition from #converged #system

    #

    converged network adapter (CNA)

A converged network adapter (CNA) is a single network interface card (NIC ) that contains both a Fibre Channel (FC) host bus adapter (HBA ) and a TCP/IP Ethernet NIC. It connects servers to FC-based storage area networks (SANs ) and Ethernet-based local area networks (LANs ).

The CNA connects to the server via a PCI Express (PCIe ) interface. The server sends both FC SAN and LAN and traffic to an Ethernet port on a converged switch using the Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE ) protocol for the FC SAN data and the Ethernet protocol for LAN data. The converged switch converts the FCoE traffic to FC and sends it to the FC SAN. The Ethernet traffic is sent directly to the LAN.

In networks without CNAs, servers have to have at least two adapters: One with a FC HBA to connect the server to the storage network, and another with a TCP/IP Ethernet NIC to connect the server to the LAN.

Using a single CNA to connect servers to storage and networks reduces costs by requiring fewer adapter cards, cables, switch ports. and PCIe slots. CNAs also reduce the complexity of administration because there is only one connection and cable to manage.

Texas Fire Incident Reporting System (TEXFIRS)

    Fire Department Reporting Status

Incidents successfully received and processed for each fire department. (Note: Please allow two to four weeks for processing of submitted files.)

TEXFIRS uses the NFIRS 5.0 system to manage incident reporting. Incident data submitted to TEXFIRS is forwarded to the national NFIRS. The NFIRS 5.0 system provides fire departments an opportunity to report all types of calls and thus better document all department activity, useful when:

    • Prioritizing training.
    • Identifying resource needs.
    • Tracking incident trends and fire prevention program progress.
    • Planning station relocations, expansions, and additions.
    • Justifying financial requests.

To submit incident reports, a fire department has the option of reporting on approved 5.0 software or paper forms. Incident reporting in Texas is not mandatory.

Software and Reporting Tools – Find companies selling NFIRS-compliant software or register to use free NFIRS software.

TEXFIRS Training – Find information on TEXFIRS/NFIRS handbooks, forms, and training.

Fire departments with active NFIRS user accounts can enter their incident reports with the Web-based Reporting Tool DEBI .

FAQ – TEXFIRS – All your questions answered, plus training updates and additional information.

Reporting Guidelines – How to send your data to TEXFIRS.

TEXFIRS FDID List – Download list of Texas fire department FDID numbers, listed by county.

“Cause of Ignition – Under Investigation” Lists – Fires listed as under investigation should be updated as information is made available.

Fires in Texas – Download annual summary report of fire incidents.

Fires in Texas Pocket – Quick (wallet-size) Reference Card (When printing, choose “2-Sided Print, Flip on Short Edge” option).

Data Summary Reports – Generate summary reports from TEXFIRS/NFIRS data.

Everything in space is moving constantly, and distances are variable and dynamic over wide ranges. Data are rounded to a maximum of 3 significant figures. In most cases, we have given average distances for simplicity’s sake. For planets, we have given minimum distances – the closest the planets come to Earth over the course of their orbits. Other distances (termination shock, heliopause) are uncertain and estimates are given. Some distances, particularly the location of probes and other man-made spacecraft, are based on time-specific readings taken in February 2014. Travel times are based on travelling in a straight line – spacecraft rarely do this in practice. Asteroid and comet measurements are diameters. Distances are from Earth’s surface. Object sizes are not to scale.

    School Bell System #bell #timers, #time #switch, #master #clock, #program #bell #timer, #programable #timers, #programmable

BellMinder is a fully automatic school bell system that is used to solve the common daily problem of ringing a bell on time every time and only when required. Unlike other School Bell Systems on the market, BellMinder is a custom developed School Bell System specifically designed for automating school bells, from the most basic schedules to the most complex. A full year time schedule can be implemented in minutes and schedule changes in seconds. BellMinder has a unique School Bell Program that’s based around a clear, easy to follow year planner format. It enables you to assign multiple reusable schedules, using your office PC, by days, weeks or months. Whether your school operates a manual system, audio based, industrial electronic timer or is controlled by your Alarm company, BellMinder beats them all with accuracy, functionality, ease of setup, flexibility and running costs. You can even activate our ‘School Lockdown’ feature to respond to emergency incidents that can occur in modern schools.

If any of the follow are familiar to you, then you have come to the right place:

    • Is it difficult to adjust your existing school bell timer?
    • Is timely bell ringing at your school important?
    • Are your bells a neighbourhood nuisance at times?
    • Would you like flexible control of when the bells ring?
    • Is School Bell Ringing taking up valuable staff time and elevating stress levels?
    • Do you require an emergency situation warning alert.?
    • Parent interview days are a drag, pressing the button every 10 minutes.
    • I have to switch off the automatic timer for exam week. The timer is too hard to change.
    • It a panic when we change for daylight saving time, the Bell Timer instructions are difficult to understand.

Think of how useful some of these features will be:

    • With BellMinder you are no longer limited to just daily timetable schedules. Now you can configure in sports day activations, exam schedules and parent teacher interviews. In fact any event that you can think of can be programmed in seconds.
    • With BellMinder you can implement alternative schedules that run in the background and can be called into service at the press of a button.
    • These are especially useful if you run Snow Day timetable or a wet day time table. No need to remember to switch back to the main schedule for the next day – BellMinder automatically takes care of that for you, BellMinder has an emergency situation alert feature.
    • Automatically daylight savings and Leap Year aware You can even print hardcopies for school and staff notice boards.
    • This School Bell Timer can operate independently of the PC once programmed.
    • BellMinder can maintain schedules for many days during a power loss.

Why Switch To BellMinder – When I have my own Bell Ringing Solution?

Below is a list of common solutions and their associated problems that BellMinder WILL solve (guaranteed!).

“We ring the bell manually and it costs us nothing:”

    • Although on the surface this would seem like a very economical
solution – calculations have proven that by the time you calculate the lost productivity and time associated with the continual tie of ringing a bell, BellMinder will pay for itself in a matter of months!
    • Despite the best efforts of staff/students ringing the bell – it doesn’t ring on time for a large percentage of rings.

“We have an electronic timer already.”

    • Most are seven day timers that are not Daylight Saving or Leap year aware.
    • Techenz believe that we have the ONLY bell ringer in the market that can handle all required scenarios. Most School Bell Timers or Software do not handle Snow Days or Rain days (or a multitude of other ring scenarios) or being able to schedule ahead 14 months. 14 Months may sound like an unusual number but once again this is based on industry investigation. Most schools schedule the year in advance and don’t want to have to worry about the bell during the end of year holiday period – BellMinder lets you ignore the bell during the busy start-up period right thru to the end of February.
    • Programming a traditional timer is quite a time consuming and frustrating process – we can schedule an entire year in only a few minutes.
    • A PC based solution has inherent reliability issues. Everyone who uses a PC knows the associated reliability issues – a single reboot/crash could/will cause havoc on a ring schedule.
    • The PC is usually dedicated to the task, so to save money the oldest PC is used, which is a high point of failure. Then no-one wants to touch it.
    • During power cuts the schedule loses reliability. Someone needs to remember to switch it back on.
    • Audio based solutions are the most expensive to implement and less effective than Bells. Playing sounds or voice from outside is usually distorted from within a classroom of noisy students. This makes it a low ROI.

The bottom line is: NO OTHER SOLUTION WILL SOLVE ALL THE REAL ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH A RELIABLE RING SCHEDULE. We guarantee after installing BellMinder you will be entirely satisfied that the solution has delivered the most hassle free set and forget solution in the market place.
