S ince Playstage Junior started in 2002, our plays have been performed by English-speaking primary schools and youth groups in 41 countries!

In 2010, we went into partnership with
Your Accompanist to provide downloadable MP3 tracks for those plays that contain traditional songs, nursery rhymes and carols. The music packs come complete with audio tracks, sheet music and instruction sheets.

    Real piano accompaniments and/or line learning piano tracks in MP3 format. Can be used to accompany the performers on the big day and in rehearsal to teach the song quickly and easily without the need for piano skills or access to an instrument. Tracks can be played from a computer, iPod or other MP3 playing device, or burned to a CD.
  • Sheet music
    A PDF containing the piano score and voice parts. Can be used by a pianist to teach the songs and accompany the singers, or by singers with more confident music reading skills.

Paralegal

When it was launched, the Paralegal program at Centennial College was a direct response to the demand for paralegals, which continues today.

Because the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) accredits this one-year undertaking, upon successful completion of the Paralegal program you are eligible to write the mandatory LSUC licensing examination that is required to practice as a paralegal in Ontario.

During your time in Centennial College s Paralegal courses, you will gain theoretical and practical experience, practicing and competing in mock trials. Additionally, part of the final semester is devoted to a two-day-per-week work placement that totals 196 hours more than the experiential learning requirement of the Law Society.

Once you complete the program, you will be an integral part of the legal system from the first client meeting until case resolution. You will have the distinction of being allowed to represent clients in criminal code offences, traffic violations, municipal offences, various boards, agencies, commissions, and tribunals as well as small claims court.

Semester Note

In the third semester, students will participate in a field placement (two days a week and the rest of the week is devoted to other classes) for a minimum of 196 hours. Students must have successfully completed all Semester 1 and 2 courses with an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in these courses.

Minimum Program GPA of 2.0 (C Grade average) required to graduate.

CAPE MAY VOCATIONAL AGREES TO FAIRLY TREAT STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Cape May County Technical Board of Education and the NJ Division on Civil Rights (DCR) have entered into an agreement overhauling the admissions practices of the Cape May County Technical High School (CMCT) to give students with disabilities a fair opportunity to attend. The settlement follows a DCR investigation into why almost no students with disabilities were enrolled in the CMCT s full-time program.

In 2010, ELC alerted DCR to possible discrimination against students with disabilities after receiving a complaint from school district administrators in Cape May County. The administrators reported that their districts middle schools were encountering significant difficulty gaining admission for students with disabilities to the CMCT full-time program.

DCR found that, in the 2009-10 school year, students classified with a disability under the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) constituted 1.25% of the student body of the CMCT full-time program, even though the statewide classification rate was nearly 15%, and the rate for Cape May County districts was almost 18%.

Statewide Data from the NJ Department of Education (NJDOE) show that Cape May and other county vocational schools serve considerably more students with disabilities in part-time programs. However, in nine of the nineteen county vocational school full-time programs, fewer than 10% of the students had disabilities, while in six of these programs fewer than 4% had disabilities. The NJDOE data also show that 14 of the 19 vocational school districts served significant numbers of full-time students with disabilities in segregated classes, rather than in general education classrooms with their non-disabled peers.

In June 2012, after DCR filed a complaint to obtain CMCT student records, the NJ Superior Court ordered the school to produce the records, while ensuring confidentiality. In its filing with the court, DCR described the difficulties of students with disabilities in gaining admission to CMCT, including a child who was not allowed to take CMCT s admissions test unless the parent declared whether or not that child was classified for special education services.

The settlement with DCR requires Cape May to use objective criteria in its admissions procedures, and it cannot ask if a student is classified as having a disability. The school also cannot review an applicant s health record, Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan without permission from a parent. Parents must be given a reason for rejection if the student is not admitted, and they will have an opportunity to appeal. Cape May agreed to provide public notice of its revised admissions policies and to train its staff in the new procedures.

Cape May also agreed to provide DCR with statistics on student admissions for 2012 through 2016, including the total number of applicants and the number with IEPs and/or 504 plans who apply and are accepted or rejected from the full-time or part-time programs or are placed on a waitlist.

DCR continues to examine the admissions policies of other county vocational schools to ensure that students with disabilities are treated fairly, consistent with state anti-discrimination laws.

We are pleased that DCR has steadfastly pursued this matter to enable students with disabilities to be educated in vocational schools alongside their peers who do not have disabilities, said Ruth Lowenkron, the ELC Senior Attorney who first brought this matter to DCR s attention. ELC will continue its efforts to ensure that the use of selective admissions policies by NJ public schools does not result in discrimination against students with disabilities and other special needs.

Online Undergraduate Program Options

How Does Online Learning at ENMU Work?

As an ENMU student, you can complete a 100% online degree program, or complete your degree program with the convenience of online courses mixed into your schedule of on-campus courses. ENMU faculty use a variety of online tools including Blackboard and Mediasite. to provide an enhanced learning experience. As an online student, you still have the benefit of our qualified faculty who are dedicated to your success. Online courses are available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, though there are some courses which require you to be online at a specific time.

What Do I Need?

Once you are an admitted student, when you register for an online course, you will need regular access to a computer with an Internet connection. For an optimal learning experience, you should have high-speed broadband access (LAN, cable or DSL). Most courses require Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Adobe Reader. Some courses have more advanced system requirements; any advanced requirements are noted in the course syllabus. You can either provide your own computer or use one of our many on-campus computer labs .

As an online student, you will still have access to the same faculty and campus resources as a traditional student. We offer tutoring, counseling, technology help and a variety of other services at your fingertips.

State Authorization

The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establish comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state.

Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from the various clinical agencies. A schedule of classes and clinical rotations is provided at the beginning of each semester. Clinical rotations may involve evening, daytime, and weekends based on availability of clinical sites and instructors.

In order to progress and graduate from the Nursing Program, students must maintain passing grades in clinical coursework, concurrent with maintaining at least a C (73) exam average and course grade in all required nursing theory courses. Further guidelines are provided in the Nursing Student Handbook.

The Maine State Board of Nursing may refuse to grant a license on the basis of criminal history record information relating to convictions as described in Title 5, Chapter 5301, Subsection 2 of the Maine Revised Statutes, Annotated

Admission Timetable

Applications for the Nursing program at EMCC are accepted between September 1 and December 30 each year for consideration for enrollment the following fall. Applications are not accepted for spring enrollment. For more information please see the Nursing Applicant page.

Graduates in the Associate in Science in the Nursing Program will be able to

Prerequisites

High school equivalent Algebra I, Biology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab

College-level Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab, College Composition, NRG101-Medical Calculations, and appropriate scores on the pre-entrance exam (Kaplan—cost $20). Bei den Junioren m nnlich reichte es im Team nur zu Platz 4. Julian Kemptner lag in der Endabrechnung als bester auf Rang 6.

Im Wettbewerb 30m gelang den Junioren m nnlich mit Louis F rst ein 5. Rang kniend und nach dem Finale Platz 7 in der Kombination.

Die Sch tzenklasse 10m errang den 3.Platz mit Thomas Aumann, Manuel Wittmann und Marcel Handrick.

Manuel war nach dem Finale 5. Luginets gewann vor Sidi und Driagin.

Nach dem Finale waren alle 3 auf dem Podest. 1. Walo, 2. Aumann, 3. Reimann nach stechen um Platz drei
