My wife and I have been browsing the Net for quite some time now. We love it! Everything is there, in one way or the other: the good and the bad, the tasty and the tacky. the beauty and the beast. It’s a very democratic place, just the way we like places to be!

There’s a little problem, though. It’s not relaxing! Think about it: you are a pianist, a calm, gentle, refined person with Mozart in your heart. Now you punch that little Search button to find him, and more than 130 million results come about! If you think this is relaxing, well, than maybe Van Halen is just the thing for you right now!

Welcome to our website! We built it to take a break from the madness. We’ll be gathering the good, the tasty and the beauty about piano music. All of it, not just free piano sheet music. We’ll try to bring a sense of joy, reviving the spirit that made you fall in love with piano in the first place.

The idea is for you to taste something different. if you are a classical pianist, take a break playing some exquisite chorinho by Marcelo Torcato. If you are a jazzer, try Mozart for a change.

It’s a coffee break, after all. And a great opportunity to go a bit over the edge, just for fun!

The Internet madhouse also has, surprisingly, some not-for-free tasty, wonderful things. What the heck, nothing is perfect, not even in piano paradise!

We suggest some of these things for their great contribution to the piano cause: if you go for them, we are sure they’ll blend seamlessly with the price of this coffee of yours. If not, well, enjoy whatever is free, which is possibly what brought you here in the first place.

New and Used Kia Sorento: Prices, Photos, Reviews, Specs – The Car Connection #how #much

#

Kia Sorento Research

The Kia Sorento is a mid-size crossover SUV with seating for up to seven passengers in three rows of seats.

The Sorento is offered in many configurations, with a choice of 4- or 6-cylinder engines and optional all-wheel drive.

Over its lifespan, the Sorento has evolved from its traditional SUV roots to become a more modern, car-like crossover SUV. It’s the same switch made with its Hyundai cousins, the Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport.

The Sorento faces off against a raft of competitors including the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Edge and Explorer, the Nissan Murano, and the Dodge Journey. Of course, its half-siblings, the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and seven-passenger Santa Fe, should be considered as well.

For 2018, the Sorento is unchanged, as it was in the 2017 model year.

The new Kia Sorento

Kia introduced a new Sorento at the 2014 Paris auto show. The third-generation model arrived in the U.S. as a 2016 model. Styling is an evolution of the previous model, with all of Kia’s latest brand cues mixed in.

The Sorento’s engine lineup has expanded to three choices: an improved version of the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, the same 3.3-liter V-6 from before, and a new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. The wheelbase has been stretched 3.1 inches, and the chassis has been reinforced and strengthened to improve handling and ride. The new Sorento also carries additional standard and optional features, such as a surround-view camera system, power-adjustable second-row seats, and several advanced-safety items.

Initial impressions are that this model is much more refined than its predecessor, with a very nicely finished interior and improved materials. The styling has also become more cohesive, owing some to the fact that Kia’s brand identity has finally reached a point of maturity. Like other new Kias, it offers three driving modes: Sport, Normal, and Eco. They tailor engine, transmission, and steering settings based on the selected mode.

In line with the competition—or perhaps slightly below it—prices for the current Sorento start at about $26,000, though a heavy hand on the options list will drive that above $30,000 quickly and the top models go for more than $40,000.

In its first generation, which was sold from 2003 to 2010, the Sorento was a body-on-frame SUV instead of using a carlike unibody to create a crossover. This decision hurt the model some, as many families prioritize the interior space, ride, and handling of a crossover over towing and off-road capability offered by a traditional sport-utility and its truck-like frame.

One of two V-6 engines—a 242-horsepower 3.3-liter and a 262-hp 3.8-liter—was matched to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive capabilities were offered on both, but the system for the smaller engine was part-time rather than full four-wheel drive. Towing capacities were 3,500 and 5,000 pounds, respectively, for the smaller and larger engines. Fuel economy, however, was just 16 mpg city, 22 highway with the smaller engine, and a dismal 15/20 mpg with the larger.

The 2011 Kia Sorento switched from old truck-style body-and-frame construction to a car-based platform. Many of its mechanicals were closely related to those in its corporate cousin, the Hyundai Santa Fe. Production also moved to Georgia. And like many of its competitors, it offered a choice among two 4-cylinders and a V-6, rather than two sizes of V-6. The 276-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 with 6-speed automatic was rated at up to 26 mpg highway. The 175-hp, 2.4-liter inline-4 was rated at up to 29 mpg highway and came with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, while a direct-injection version, new for the 2012 model year, had 191 hp and EPA-rated highway mileage of up to 30 mpg. Front-wheel-drive was standard, with all-wheel drive available on all except the base manual-transmission version.

All Sorentos in this generation came well-equipped, with air conditioning, cruise control, satellite radio, and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel standard. A third-row seat became standard on V-6 models. The EX model added 18-inch wheels and a host of electronics, including keyless ignition, backup sensors, automatic headlights, leather seating, and a power driver’s seat. Options included navigation, a better audio system, a sunroof, a DVD entertainment system, and Kia’s voice-command UVO system.

While its outward appearance didn’t change much, the 2014 Kia Sorento got a substantial mid-cycle refresh. Updates included a re-engineered body structure, a new 290-hp, 3.3-liter direct-injected V-6 engine (in addition to the 191-hp inline-4), improved versions of the available all-wheel-drive system, and a long list of new features. The front and rear end were restyled, and the Sorento’s infotainment systems were upgraded. The systems offered 8.0-inch screens, Infinity premium audio, real-time traffic info, and next-gen UVO eServices features.

For 2014, a top Sorento SX model added nappa leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and a wood-trimmed heated steering wheel, as well as HID headlights and more on the outside. Other new features included second-row sunshades, ventilated seats, and a power inverter.

I do not think there is any better SUV for the price. The style, ride, and the price beat anything out there in the mid-tier SUV category. Spacious inside, but still drives like a car. Spacious inside, but still drives like a car. The 6 cylinder provides great pick-up. We had two Santa Fe Sports before we switched to the Sorento and while we loved our Sante Fe’s we’re enjoying the Sorento as a nice change of pace. If they were to fine-tune this a little, I would say make a little less “boxy” design and improve the gas mileage a few MPG’s, but there are very few “perfect” cars. + More

We rented a new Sorento (it had 68 miles on the odometer when we got it). First impression was very positive and as the week went on we liked it even more. The interior was beautiful and comfortable. All controls and displays are very well placed. The ride was very smooth and it handles like a dream. We spent a lot of time in Rocky Mountain National Park. Tight corners and steep inclines – not a problem. This car is fun to drive. It has nice features including plenty of USB charger ports (front and rear) for all your devices. I definitely plan on buying one. + More

    Interview with a Registered Nurse

What do you do for a living?

    I am a Registered Nurse.

How would you describe what you do?

I take care of patients who are recovering from a wide range of illnesses or from recent surgery.

    What does your work entail?

I’m responsible for making sure that the patient’s pain is under control, that they receive their prescribed medicine on time, that their vital signs are stable, that the doctor’s orders are being followed and I act as a liaison between the doctor and the patient’s family.

What is a typical workweek like for you?

I work three, twelve-hour shifts and I’m stuck on night shift right now. The night shift is really hard. The money is good but the rest of your family is scared to call during the day because they’re scared that I’ll be sleeping. But you kind of get used to it and then eventually you get to work days. So I work 3-twelve hour shifts that usually end up being about 13 or 14 hours because you have to stay late sometimes to finish charting. It ends up almost being a 40 hour work week.

    How did you get started?

I actually started by going to college and getting a psychology degree and with that degree I was only able to get a job as a receptionist.

I knew a psychology degree doesn’t really do anything unless you go for your PhD or Masters so I really wanted to help people but I didn’t feel like I was really getting that opportunity and my sister was in nursing school and loved it so I went too.

I went to a school that offered a one year accelerated Bachelor’s degree in nursing program.

It was twelve months because I had already had my Bachelor’s degree. I didn’t have to take all the other classes and so I got a second Bachelor’s.

It was a crazy year. It was probably the most difficult year of my life but it was worth it.

What do you like about what you do?

The best part is seeing patients get better and knowing that I played a small role in that. We get a lot of patients who are in a lot of pain after their surgery which can be pretty stressful trying to get their pain under control. But once they’re comfortable and smiling it does feel really good to know that I helped them out.

    What do you dislike?

I wish I had a lot more time to spend with my patients. There are some busy nights where I’ll run into a room to see something and my patient wants to tell me a joke or a story about her grandkids and it absolutely breaks my heart to have to interrupt them and leave because the patient in the room down the hall is throwing up and another patient is crying in pain and another patient has to go to the bathroom. So there’s sometimes that there is so much going on that I feel like I can’t give my patients the attention that they desire and that I want to.

How do you make money or how are you compensated?

Nurses are all hourly so they’re not a salary. It’s not a salary position unless you’re in management.

How much money do you make as a registered nurse?

In Kansas City it seems like most hospitals for new graduate nurses start around $21 or $22 an hour and then every year the salary goes up by a little bit less than a $1 a year. I’ve been a nurse for 5 years and I’m making $26 an hour.

Hospital nurses tend to make more than other types of nurses. At doctor’s offices they only make like $18 or $19 an hour even if you are a registered nurse. So you definitely get more in the hospital and then hospitals usually pay night shift workers a shift differential which for me is $3 an hour so I get my base pay and then for the night hours I get $3 more an hour and I also get additional pay. If it’s a weekend you get $2 an hour extra.

How much did you make starting out in this career?

I started out at $22 an hour maybe but that was in TX.

What education or skills that are needed to be a Registered Nurse?

Most hospitals require a registered nurse degree but you can do that two ways. There’s actually a Bachelor’s degree which is called a BSN and some hospitals prefer that and pay more; other hospitals don’t distinguish between a diploma nurse, which is an RN without the Bachelor’s, and the Bachelor’s.

What is the most challenging about what you do?

The patient load and the severity of their sickness.

If I have five patients and I have one patient who demands a lot of time because they’re in a lot of pain or they’re really sick then my other four patients might not get the attention that they deserve. So I’ve learned time management skills are just absolutely critical and even then sometimes I’ll have my whole night figured out and something will come up and throw everything off. So it’s definitely a skill learning to prioritize and juggle my plans for the night I guess. That takes a long time to learn.

What is the most rewarding for you?

The patients, just getting to know the patients and their families and seeing them get better.

What advice would you offer someone that’s considering this career?

The best advice I could offer would be to contact a hospital in the area and see if there’s any way that you can shadow a nurse for a full shift because I think that a lot of people watch TV shows and see doctors doing all the work and they think that’s the way things actually are and it’s not like that. Nursing is a very, very physical job. It’s a lot of thinking and it’s a lot of work. I love it but I’ve met a lot of people who I think if they would have actually seen what it was really like before they went to school that they might have chosen something different.

I don’t want to sound discouraging by any means but I think it’s a good idea to actually shadow someone to see what it will be like.

How much time off do you get or take?

Well we technically have a 12 hour shift. It’s only three days a week so every week you get four days off and then it seems like hospitals give you a lot of paid time off because you don’t get holidays paid. With most jobs you get paid when you don’t have to work on a holiday but hospitals they’re open every day all day so you sometimes have to work holidays so we do rack up a lot of paid time off and so it just seems like occasionally I’ll be able to take a day or two off which is really nice.

What is a common misconception that people have about what you do?

That nurses just give medicine and they don’t do much else.

What are your goals or dreams for the future?

I guess to eventually to try different areas of nursing and just see what is all out there because that’s one of the best things about nursing, there are so many different areas that if you get bored with something or something isn’t the right fit you can try a different specialty, or you can go from being a floor nurse to an operating room nurse and it’s almost like a different profession. So you have a lot of options I guess. In the future I would like to try out different things and see what the best fit is for me.

What else would you like people to know about what you do?

That’s a good question. To be nice to their nurses! No, I’m kidding. It’s a very rewarding job, you learn a lot, it’s constantly evolving, that people should only go into nursing if it’s their true passion.

And that if you really do want to help people and you are interest in medicine that it is a very rewarding and exciting career.

    Just relax and have fun!

    NJ PAIP Consumer Help

How much should i pay for auto insurance

    NJ High Risk Auto insurance

NJ PAIP Car Insurance or NJ state mandated assigned high risk auto insurance for qualified applicants. The plan offers NJ drivers another option when they cannot obtain coverage elsewhere in the state of New Jersey. Assigned Companies provide personal private passenger car insurance coverage. To see if you qualify in general you must have a quote from a NJPAIP Certified Producer, as they are the only ones that may offer this state coverage.

How much should i pay for auto insurance

Example: You apply for a policy and are told by the insurer that they will not insure you nor your auto due to NJMVC points or NJ insurance points (accidents, A DUI, driving suspended or without insurance or other entries) of which an insurance company may refuse or deny anyone coverage. Prior law would require companies writing policies to take any person that applied for coverage unless they had too many points, or were cancelled MID-Term for non payment of premium. With the Take All Comers law expiring, you may be refused for many different reasons such as; credit score, education level, town of residence, zip code, buying auto policy only, total points and several other reasons.

What if I am considered a NJ High Risk Driver? Consumer Quotes (856) 352-2349.

Take an online defensive driving course and get lower insurance rates for

After you enter the New Jersey assigned risk auto pool, the insurance company assigned to you must typically keep you for three years, or until you are no longer qualified. At the end of that period, your company has the choice of keeping you as a customer or not renewing your policy. Even if the insurance company cancels your policy after you have kept your driving record clean and sent in premium payments on time, you should be able to find a preferred car insurance company to issue a policy for you. During your time as a New Jersey assigned risk insurance class driver, it is in your own best interest to keep your car insurance policy in force. This will be important when you try to obtain a policy once your are no longer a high risk. As time goes by without any driving accidents or violations, your odds of getting insurance on the NJ voluntary market become greater. Our certified NJPAIP producers may be able to help you secure other coverage.

Buying your policy: Your NJ-PAIP Certified Insurance Producer will need copies of certain documents; NJ Drivers License, NJ Registration, Proof of NJDMV/NJMVC/Insurance Points, and names of any NJ Insurance companies that have declined you coverage. The NJPAIP Certified producer will have to prove that all drivers in your household are insured somewhere.

How much auto insurance coverage do I need?

How much auto insurance coverage you need depends on a variety of different factors. In order to make an informed decision, you need to consider the various risks that you, your passengers, and your auto are likely to face. You also need to consider the amount of assets you have to protect. Uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage pays for medical expenses, lost wages, and other general damages when auto insurance policyholders, authorized drivers, or passengers are injured in an accident caused by a driver who has no insurance in NJ.

    What is Collision Coverage?

This coverage helps pay for auto repair or replacement costs if your car rolls over or if your car hits another vehicle or object. When you buy your auto insurance policy, you will be asked to set your deductible for collision coverage. For example, if you set your deductible at $1,000, this decreases your auto insurance premium payments, but you will be required to pay for any damages up to $1,000 should your car need to be repaired or replaced.

    What is Comprehensive Coverage?

Comprehensive coverage is an important part of your auto insurance policy. Comprehensive coverage helps pay for damage resulting from falling objects, fire, certain natural disasters, and vandalism. Comprehensive coverage also generally covers theft.
