It’s nice to find a geniune collection of free and legal music for download as opposed to streaming, and especially good when it’s wrapped up in a great looking magazine format. It’s all indie material, but curated so you can be sure the quality stays high. Definitely should be on your watch list or RSS feed reader.
WARNING – POSSIBLY NOT LEGAL! We’re still trying to work out how this site can still be operating. We think it’s because it’s a Russian site and they have different rules regarding copyright? Whatever the reason, it still features very high on the Google search results, so we guess it has a charmed life. Features a massive amount of mainstream music for download and streaming. We’re doubtful if this will last long!

Another in the increasingly commercial streaming aggregator sites. They’re easy to spot, lots of ads, all music is provided by YouTube and Vimeo and TuneIn and the download function always comes with advertising conditions. Nevertheless it’s a decent enough interface with lots of luscious music for playlists and streaming.
Does 11,000 free downloadable MP3 tracks from great indie bands sound good? Excellent. The collection of tracks features over 10,000 artists, and comes wrapped in a deliciously accessible catalog covering all the main genres. The first track I listened to was awesome, which bodes well for the rest of the site’s quality. Oh and artists share in the ad revenue, so help them out.
